Protecting Yourself During Real Estate Transactions
Buyer beware! (1) If you are purchasing property, always do the inspection on a house – it is your right. If anything is wrong with the property, this is the last chance to back out; (2) Always do the walkthrough the day of the closing – you won’t know the house was stripped of fixtures until it is too late; (3) Once you sign on the dotted line at closing, you are responsible for any liens that remain on the title – never skip the property title search made by a title attorney.
